Problem persists with power shutdown.
When I shut down my computer in Windows, the fans continue spinning and the RGB stays active. To stop them, I have to press the power button on the PC case and hold it for about ten seconds. For turning off the RGB, I need to cut power to the PSU by pressing a switch. It feels like I’m doing a special procedure to turn it off, and I’m not sure how to fix it.
Run a complete shutdown via the command line using `shutdown /s /f /t 0`. Verify this approach carefully since unknown commands can cause problems. If successful, likely some Windows configuration is conflicting with fast start. Otherwise, it may point to power cable issues or incorrect BIOS settings. Certain RGB software for motherboards (such as ASUS Aura or MSI Mystic Light) lets you keep the lights on after shutdown—check its options for a power-off setting. I added this note after reviewing the details. - shutdown initiates the shutdown process in Windows. - /s ensures a full shutdown, not restart or hibernate. - /f forces apps to close right away without saving. - /t 0 sets the shutdown timer to zero seconds, triggering immediate shutdown.
