Hello,
I’m unable to play any games due to unexpected crashes. These usually happen between 5 and 30 minutes into the session, though sometimes they last longer. The issues began around early December and have increased in frequency. Event viewer reports errors linked to nvlddmkm.dll and DistributedCOM. At first, I assumed it was a driver problem. Following a forum discussion:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...d-...geAffaires
I performed a clean installation of the drivers. I’m considering that my GPU might be faulty, but I don’t have another one to test.

I don’t believe this is related to overheating, as my GPU and CPU temperatures remain stable (around 60°C for CPU and 50-60°C for GPU). I also tried underclocking the GPU via MSI Afterburner, following advice from a friend, but that didn’t resolve the problem. Disabling XMP in BIOS didn’t help either. Updating the motherboard BIOS also failed. So far, nothing else has worked.

Additionally, I’ve noticed frequent stuttering in many games. I reached out to NVIDIA support, who advised making some basic adjustments in the NVIDIA control panel and system settings—most of which I had already attempted.

Could you assist? I’d really prefer not to spend money on new hardware.

everyone experiences this, or at least it's common, it's a Microsoft database issue. It doesn't necessarily cause the problem. The Nvidia event shows similar errors in Reliability History during those times, and if it leads to a restart, it can also trigger a hardware error. (Windows treats an unexpected restart as a hardware issue)

It doesn't always mean the GPU is the culprit. Have you encountered any issues with USB or older devices? I once faced a problem where GPU drivers would crash unpredictably, taking months to diagnose—my mouse was the real cause, not the GPU.

Copy the memtest86 to a flash drive.
Power on the drive and start it.
Ensure no errors occur.

I haven't encountered any problems with my USB connection before, but I recently received a new mouse. It appears to be a wireless Logitech model, which might be the reason for the issue. I plan to avoid using it for some time and check if that resolves the problem.

The events recorded in the viewer show:
- Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm has an undefined description. Either the causing component isn't installed locally or the installation is damaged. You can reinstall or fix the component.
- If the event came from another machine, the display data must have been saved with it.
- Details provided:
- Device ID: 0000008b
- Error: GPUID 2b00
- Message resource exists but not found in table
- Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm also lacks a description. The same installation or data-saving conditions seem to apply.
- Device ID: Video3
- Graphics Exception: ESR 0x504730=0x8040017, 0x504734=0x0, 0x504728=0xf812b60, 0x50472c=0x1104
- Message resource present but missing in table

These findings suggest the issue may be related to component installation or data persistence.

I'll attempt this when I have a bit more time.

Performed memtest86 on a flash drive, observed 21 errors. Suggests issues may relate more to RAM than GPU.

Run memtest using a single ram stick placed correctly. Check each stick individually.
