Hi, your question is clear. I misconnected my PC during a move, which caused the 0x800701b1 error and prevented it from starting. After trying basic recovery steps and some command fixes, nothing resolved the issue. Since the OS is only a few weeks old and not fully configured, I considered wiping and reinstalling. You're wondering if switching to a new drive and installing the OS there would help, followed by cleaning up your existing M.2 slot once the new system is set up. Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concerns!

I’d opt for a clean Windows setup and verify everything is normal. Once it starts up properly, let me know. Do you have a Windows 10/11 USB drive or another machine to generate a bootable file?

I've already tried that, and it keeps failing to boot. The same error appears each time, even after the install finishes. Once it's done, I encounter the issue again. I think I should look into the boot order settings, but I'm not sure what to do next.

At first, the PC asks you to pick an operating system because it seems you've installed it several times. Despite that, the computer still starts, but you encounter a Windows installation error stating it restarted unexpectedly or ran into an issue. The prompts suggest restarting the PC and then the installation again, but clicking 'OK' causes it to keep looping.

At this stage, do you need to remove any current partitions before proceeding?

I removed everything I was unsure about due to conflicting data, but after reinstalling, the system files came back. It seems the multiple installs on volume 3 are likely the reason.
