A few months ago, while setting up my PC, I planned to D.O.C.P my RAM and set the clock speed to 3600Mhz. I wanted to ensure the RAM sticks would be compatible. However, when I did this, the system wouldn’t boot, and neither my keyboard nor mouse lit up, with nothing appearing on the screen. I spent a lot of time resetting the CMOS during troubleshooting. A friend helped me through the process, suggesting a D.O.C.P and DDR4-3200Mhz settings. Once those were applied, the PC booted without issues. But after changing the D.O.C.P and frequency back to 3600Mhz, it refused to start again. My specifications included an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F motherboard, a 1TB Kingston A2000 M.2 NVMe SSD, a MSI GeForce 1080 Gaming graphics card, an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X at 3.7GHz, 16GB of G.Skill RAM at 3600Mhz, and a GIGABYTE P850GM power supply. I’m hoping you can assist me—I suspect my RAM might be faulty.

Hey! The RAM slots you used are 1 and 3. They worked best in dual-channel at 2133MHz, but not so well in single-channel or other speeds. When you swapped them to slots 2 and 4, everything functioned perfectly.
