I recently encountered an issue on Windows 10. Every time I launch GTA 5, the screen goes black and the computer freezes completely. I noticed the lock-up happens only when pressing the number lock key. This problem is uncommon on Windows 7. I looked into it and found that crashes usually occur during gameplay rather than at startup. I reinstalled the display driver, but that didn’t resolve it. I tried running the game in compatibility mode to mimic Windows 7, but it still crashed more often. Compatibility mode typically helps with older programs like GTA San Andreas. I’m hoping someone can assist me with this issue.

I didn’t install GTA 5 and downloaded it from seven discs. My GeForce experience is limited since I have an AMD card, and I wouldn’t bother with driver software to boost my games.

This card isn't suitable for overclocking. I ran a stability test and it succeeded—no crashes occurred.

I tested beam-ng with high performance settings at 1080p and it worked smoothly. My average frame rate was about 53 fps.
