Hi!
Today I tried installing a new Windows and expected it to replace the old one automatically.
I downloaded the installer from the official site, set it up on a USB drive, restarted the PC, chose USB as the boot option, and during installation it told me “you can’t install Windows on that disk.”
I’m really confused—I don’t know what I did wrong, but I can’t boot any disk to start the system.
I suspect something went wrong with the disks or BIOS.
Please help me.

is there anything on the pc you wish to retain? what was the message you received during installation, particularly regarding the MBR? what are the specifications of the pc? which motherboard is installed? if you plan to replace windows and there is nothing you wish to keep, this should assist. =http://forums.

Yeah, but I don’t have access to someone with PC at the moment. I guess I just wiped Windows, not all the files.
🙁

if the system boots from the USB, we can proceed
from the installer:
after languages, pick repair this pc instead of installing.
select troubleshoot, then advanced, then command prompt.
type notepad and press enter.
in notepad, choose file > open.
use file explorer to copy any files you need to save to USB or another drive
