Problem occurred while resetting IDE settings.
Build underway, still in assembly. No operating system installed on the motherboard: Gigabyte X299 WU8. Processor: Intel Core i9-10920X. RAM: 256GB G.Skill Ripjaws V 128GB. GPU: 2TB M.2 NVMe Corsair MP600 (not yet formatted). Storage: Superflower 1600w cooler, Noctua D15 fan.
Error encountered: A1 ("Issue Reset During IDE Initialization Process"). The Noctua D15 is occupying Slot 1. I moved the GPU to Slot 3 (16 lanes) as a workaround. This is the only oddity so far. Everything is brand new, no prior booting. No drives attached yet.
No video output detected. Attempts made: reset CMOS, swapped battery, removed NVMe drive, changed power supply, altered cables (DisplayPort, DVI-D, DVI-A).
From the information I have, the A1 code suggests the system attempts to switch to an OS, but none is present yet. The issue seems related to the Gigabyte X299-WU8 board. Other components are fine except the CPU. Ideas are limited; I’m running out of options.
This motherboard supports only 1 RAM slot. You've already completed several troubleshooting actions. The next action is likely to take the computer out of its case and place it on an insulating surface. If booting remains impossible, re-seat the CPU and test with a different power supply. Good luck!
