Problem Installing Windows 11 Pro on MSI x870e Carbon
I'm facing an issue installing Windows 11 Pro on my new build. The setup process uses an MSI x870e Carbon with Ryzen 9950x, Corsair vengeance 2x32 RAM, WD SN850x M2, a WD Black 10 TB HDD (two drives), and a NZXT 360 Kracken CPU cooler. I installed Windows via USB (retail Pro 11). After reboot, the MSI logo appears first, then Windows, prompting for region, keyboard, updates, and computer name assignment. The installation eventually freezes with code 35. I recently flashed the latest BIOS from MSI in December 2024. It's connected via a wired internet connection, which should resolve network issues. Since integrated graphics are used, no GPU is present. Any advice on troubleshooting or fixing this would be appreciated. Thanks!
Duane.
Try updating your BIOS first, then share your results. Cheers.
It's curious that a new mobile version requires a BIOS update for installing 11 Pro?
This morning I unplugged the SATA drives and installed them without any problems. It seems I was searching for drivers.
