I’m worried about my first PC build because some people on YouTube mention issues I see. It’s scary what could happen if something goes wrong. The mobile chip you’re considering might not be compatible with the newer motherboard, since it isn’t updated. Should I get a motherboard with flash BIOS or should I buy a cheaper board and a more expensive CPU instead? Also, keep in mind that parts here are usually 20% more expensive than in other countries.

Confirm with the seller if it comes with 3000 units out of the box (look for a "3000 ready" label). If not, all B450 models from MSI include 3000 series units by default.

Currently, most B450 boards are produced with Zen 2 support included, even if it isn't explicitly mentioned. If you have an older B450 board, inquire at a local store or the manufacturer about updating it.
