You're experiencing a black screen during loading of Far Cry 4, likely due to an issue with the MS-WIN.DLL file. Others have reported similar problems, often linked to missing or corrupted dependencies. Checking the installation folder for the DLL and ensuring it's properly installed might help.

I received the game from UbiStore, Disc, or Steam. Your Uplay version worked perfectly without any issues. Could you share your computer specifications so I can check if they’re meeting the requirements?

Turn off your machine, it may not function properly, yet this issue kept occurring. Restarting resolved the problem. It was a D3D11 issue specific to FC4.

I received a code for UPlay and it unlocked great specs: Windows 7 64-bit, i7 860, Intel DP55WG, 12GB RAM, Radeon 4890. I’m planning to upgrade my laptop and GPU soon—I just wanted to check what else I could get with this setup.

I've turned off my PC multiple times in hopes of success, yet it keeps showing the black startup screen.

I noticed the specs didn’t match the needs right away.

Tell me about your GPU and the operating system version. It seems compatibility might be the problem. Also, confirm if you're using 64-bit Windows 7, 8, or 8.1.
