I'm having trouble starting Minecraft on my Windows 10 laptop. It's brand new with no extra programs installed. When I try to connect, the firewall blocks it. I've removed Java completely using REVO and also uninstalled Minecraft, then reinstalled fresh versions, but the same issue persists: can't locate a valid certification path. I searched online and haven't received any help from Mojang either. Please assist me.

Ensure your computer clock is accurate. If you have antivirus protection, consider turning it off briefly when starting the game.

Install Java 8 and restart your device. Disable any Minecraft-related Java settings on the launcher. https://gyazo.com/7b45704339798ba34333f663abd76e96

You can locate those settings in Minecraft by navigating to the game's options menu, typically found under "Settings" or "Preferences." If you're referring to Java, they are usually part of the application's configuration files or GUI settings.

I checked the two programs and saw the issue. In Minecraft, the launcher is set to 1.8.0_25, but your Java version uses 1.8.0_101. This mismatch might be causing the problem. You can adjust the target in the Minecraft launcher settings to match your Java version. Yes, you can change the target there.
