Occasionally while using my computer I encounter a problem where the GPU fans reach maximum speed and the screen goes dark. I purchased the GPU recently and all system components are new, so I’m seeking guidance on fixing this. The GPU isn’t under significant strain—like the issue occurred simply while watching a YouTube video—and the system remains stable. The video continues playing even when the monitor is off, and the GPU makes a vacuum-like noise. I’ve installed the latest drivers through NVIDIA’s official installer. My setup includes: CPU – Ryzen 9 7900X, GPU – RTX 5080 (PNY), PSU – MSI A850GL 850W, RAM – B650 Gaming Plus WiFi.

850W should suffice, but verify if the PSU isn't the issue.

PSU shouldn't be the main concern; it might just need a 200W maximum during system exploration. I'd lean toward checking the graphics drivers or RAM problem instead. Consider reinstalling NVidia drivers, resetting the BIOS, using just one RAM stick without XMP settings, and then perform RAM and GPU stress tests.
