Printer model Canon mg5750 is producing output b204 during printing attempts.
I've been facing problems with my Canon mg5750 printer. It keeps trying to print but seems stuck, making a loud noise before spitting out B204 error. It also won't turn on and sometimes prints B203 when I open it and move the printer head left or right. During maintenance steps like cleaning, it still gives B204 errors. I've tried switching it on/off, leaving it plugged in for a while, cleaning the head, and changing ink, but nothing seems to fix it. At this point, I think there might be an issue with the printer head itself. Any suggestions would be really helpful.
The manuals claim B204 indicates poor ink quality. It appears to be from around 2005. The error code b203 is similar to a Windows BSOD. Based on my experience with Canon printers, this model was around that time and can be quite challenging to operate when it functions.
It seems to have been around for about two years. The printer came with ink, but it was relatively new when I received it, so maybe that’s the issue. I haven’t used it in a year, so it’s hard to say if that helped much. Do you know what to do or is it just about getting fresh ink? Printers are usually built to be durable and not easily repaired.
One year provides ample time for the ink to set. If Canon relies on permanent ink jet nozzles and interchangeable ink cartridges, your printer resembles e-waste. Clearing the nozzles is nearly unfeasible. It’s far more economical to purchase a new printer. Personally, I acquired a used laser printer from a doctor’s office years back and have been using it up to this day. The toner remains intact; maintaining it clean and free of dust ensures a printer can last a long time.
