prime95 test question
prime95 test question
I also use Aida 64. Perhaps I'll try that after some searching, as Prime 95 isn't very user-friendly for any reason except the older versions.
The problem with Prime95 is mainly related to the version.
Versions after 26.6 (27.7, 27.9, or 28.5) execute AVX code, leading to very high temperatures. Version 26.6 does not have this issue.
No one has encountered any difficulties with version 26.6.
Give it a try and check yourself:

kk will handle that run once the aida takes about two more hours. Thanks everyone for your assistance, it's appreciated.
The essential aspect of thermal testing involves employing a workload that remains constant. Intel's Thermal Specification (Tcase) serves as both a calculation and a lab test, requiring consistency. It's not feasible to get precise thermal readings from changing workloads that cause core temperatures to vary, similar to a volatile stock market day (shown in the charts). Therefore, averaging temperatures isn't reliable for accurate core temperature assessment. If you're unsure about p95 v26.6 being issue-free, the next suitable option is HeavyLoad, which offers core temperatures within 3% and power usage within 4% of Prime95 v26.6 Small FFT's.
