I'm trying to boost my i7-4790k's performance and have been looking into different options. Some people think Prime95 is too harsh on high-end processors and adds unnecessary stress, while others recommend using a modified version of Prime95 with version 26.6. A few say it's okay to proceed as planned. I'm still unsure which approach is best.

Prime95 versions older than 26.6 aren't necessary for the latest Intel processors. It's better to stick with 26.6.
