Primary PCIe port doesn't detect the graphics card, while the lower slot does + two additional problems
Checked my system with the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB RAM (2x16GB), G.Skill Flare X5 series, and a 6000 CL32 dual-channel motherboard from ASUS B650-E TUF Gaming. Used a WiFi AMD AM5 ATX board with a 850W Super Flower Leadex VII power supply. Installed an SSD and a 1TB extra drive, plus an Acer Predator GM7000 1TB case fan. Updated BIOS and drivers, but faced several problems. The first boot triggered an error about corrupted FTPM/PSP NV. SSD failed to read, prompting a Windows rebuild. After testing, the PC booted normally when using the VGA in the top PCIe slot, but not with the VGA in the second slot. I also noticed MB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth didn’t function, and case fans weren’t working despite using a fan hub. The issue seems to lie with the motherboard, though my older 1650 Super worked on both slots. I’m unsure if I should contact MicroCenter or a repair shop first, or if I can proceed with warranty replacement.
It seems like the board might be faulty. All those problems seem to stem from the same issues across different games, like random crashes even when RAM is stable. Slots, ports, or post glitches are likely the culprits. You might want to try a different board—something like Aorus Elite PG Lightning Pro Creator or Taichi Lite, depending on what you can afford.
