PC powered off during gameplay. Restarted and lights flickered with a clicking sound. Then RAM activated and remained on. However, the PC showed no signs of functioning.
Attempted to clear CMOS but had no success. Didn't expect it but tried anyway. Tested single RAM in each slot but none worked.
Purchased a Corsair RM1000x. The power supply I had was a Seasonic Prime 1000, which is three years old.
The PSU i had was a Seasonic Prime 1000 which is 3 years old.

That unit has a 12 year warranty, you should send it off for an RMA.
What was the PSU powering? Please list the specs to your build like so:

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
