Hey everyone, here’s what you should consider for setting up your home network. You’re planning to connect via fiber with 500Mbps down and 100Mbps up. Your internet provider offers two options: a FRITZ!Box 7530 or purchasing your own. If you buy your own router, it should support point-to-point protocol, VLAN 10-tagging, gigabit Ethernet ports. Is the FRITZ!Box model you’re thinking of suitable for these needs? You have six Ethernet cables to connect and are considering the Archer AX6000. What’s the best choice? For adding access points on every floor, the concrete structure makes 5GHz Wi-Fi performance challenging. Your old Netgear R6260 could work as an AP, but you might want to look into alternatives. The Synology NAS in the attic has poor local speeds on Wi-Fi, so improving your setup is key. Since all cables are CAT5e, changing them isn’t possible. You mentioned a sketch of your layout—feel free to share it if you need help visualizing improvements for better speed to your NAS. Thanks!

Confirm your setup! If everything works smoothly, keep it as is. If issues arise or require third-party fixes, proceed accordingly. The AX6000 can handle this—consider testing it in AP mode to evaluate performance. Ethernet confirmed.
