Today they presented a demo of RCT World at PAX Prime. It seems impressive, and I’m sure I’ll purchase it when it’s released. This was my very first game, and the only one I played during my first year of gaming. If RCT World merges the engine with the style of Cities Skylines, RCT3, and No Limits, it would be my ideal title. The Steam Workshop adds a nice touch for me!

Back when I was younger, I didn't play on PC. For my 11th birthday, I got Thrillville Off The Rails and thought it was amazing. Later, I played Roller Coaster Tycoon and it really impressed me. But I had more fun watching TV OTR shows.

I recall the very old roller coaster magnate from the 1990s, around 1999. That ride was thrilling, but I don’t really care about a modern version. It’s likely even worse than the new SimCity that came out. Probably just better visuals but much poorer gameplay.

I'm glad you enjoyed SimCity. The main criticism is that city sizes can't be increased. You can create clusters, but it doesn't feel quite the same.

I'm really impressed by the station itself. The level of detail is amazing. When you focus on the ceiling area, it feels very authentic in certain places. Compared to RCT3's 2D trees, having everything as a 3D model is a big improvement.

They replaced the previous developer due to poor performance. A fresh developer was brought on, and they switched to a different engine. This change is causing delays.

Hoping for the casino magnate... That won't occur. I think a rollercoaster tycoon is the better choice.

Remember that RCT came out in 2004. Back then, playing a modern FPS would have been extremely demanding.
