Hello! Your plan sounds solid. For the network, switching to Virgin Media’s 500 Mbps connection and using the included router in modem mode with three Google Wi-Fi hubs should give you strong coverage throughout the house and garden. Just ensure the hubs are properly placed and configured for optimal performance. Regarding the home server, you can set it up as a dedicated storage device connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, placing it in a central location for easy access. Choose a reliable NAS or external drive with encryption for security. Let me know if you need more details! Thanks!

Set up a QNAP NAS using WD red drives, configure raid 1, add dual network interfaces, enable upload/download functionality. Keep it disconnected from the internet, assign it to a separate subnet for privacy. Ready to proceed.
