Prepare a bootable USB for Windows 10.
You can create a bootable Windows USB and use your existing CD key to activate it right away. You don’t need to install Windows again unless you want to upgrade later.
Make the initial changes first, then the key should function properly.
Once in a few months (big updates), you'll be able to press 8.1 and 7 to turn it on.
Upgrading becomes unavailable after replacing your motherboard.
