I've been using Riseup for the last ten months. It's the top service I've ever tried. They offered a free VPN before the redesign, which is still ongoing. You can set up email aliases, forwarding, and completely change your email. Other features are there but hard to judge right now. I use it with my iPhone and Thunderbird.

There was a video from TekSyndicate that encrypted all your emails. It seems to be in Swedish or Swiss language. I provided the CAPTCHA address, but I don’t recall the exact name of the website.
