I've been thinking about playing only Ubisoft games on Steam because they're in my library. Recently I saw GamerGate's AC: Black Flags for €5 on Uplay. It's cheaper, though some people criticize Uplay. I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I remember the last time I purchased a Ubisoft title was a long time back... Yet honestly, it doesn’t matter which version I obtained, because with Ubisoft games you always need to launch uPlay.

I choose Steam since I don’t want them to notice a deal while you play.

The statement highlights that all Ubisoft titles require Uplay, even when bought via Steam. It acknowledges that while the Steam integration within Uplay isn't perfect, it's still a positive development.

You can start the game via Steam, but it automatically launches UPlay... so you might want to try the UPlay version if it's more affordable. I've used UPlay without any problems before.

Sure, I'll save the funds by opting for the Uplay version.

It will work on Uplay regardless of where you purchase it. When you attempt to launch it via Steam, it will switch to Uplay, authenticate you, and begin the game. It really doesn’t matter which platform you choose—seek the better deal.

I’d just purchase any available version, whether it’s Steam or Uplay, but you’ll still have to play it through Uplay if you obtain it on Steam.

I’d pick them from Uplay since it would limit me to just one DRM type, which is what I prefer.
