I just bought a Predator 360 and want to install a 50mm x 380mm cylinder reservoir that sits horizontally on top of my radiator. My build uses a Thermaltake P3 in horizontal orientation. The predator already has a res and pump integrated into the end of the radiator. From what I've read online, the typical flow path is res > rad > pump > CPU block > repeat. Many people suggest placing the pump after the reservoir to ensure it's always saturated. In this expandable AIO setup, the radiator should sit between the res and pump. Otherwise, the pump might skip the res entirely. I'm wondering if using the drain and fill ports on the radiator to run a second reservoir would be a good idea. Ideally, the flow should stay consistent with the original setup—going into the res and to the radiator normally—but use the fill plug as an extra outlet for the second cylindrical reservoir, positioned opposite the first one inside the rad. This would resemble a Y spitter arrangement: res > Rad + Res 2 > Rad. I'm not sure if this would actually improve flow, since it's essentially increasing the reservoir size.
I wasn't able to locate a 50 mm outer diameter reservoir, most designs accommodate 60 mm tops. 65 mm (primochill) and 80 mm (koolance) are available instead.
