Howdy! Anyone have some vast experience in the powerline realm? I just need a quick backhaul through my house while I run some MMF for 10gig between my office and garage 42u rack. I picked up a couple of the Trendnet 1200AV2 adapters but real throughput in my environment is about ~70 mbit. I don't mind spending a bit for 'more', the current environment traverses a couple breakers but probably a max distance of 100 ft. If there's a kit that significantly outperforms others I'd be interested. I did have a wireless uplink via Ubiquiti on some of the wave2 APs that netted around 200 mbit, although one of them seems to have failed and I'm not sure if it's a result of utilizing that feature continuously (rip 2018), but pending RMA.

Multi-mode fiber is chosen for better performance. Powerline isn’t fast enough and is sensitive to electrical interference, making it unsuitable for achieving full gigabit speeds.

I own premium equipment including a Cisco 4500-X and several reliable servers, with MMF offering better value than SMF and exceeding 10G copper. It supports up to 100GbE via OM3 or higher. My main need is swift inter-floor connectivity for iSCSI and Samba traffic. I’m not aiming for gigabit speeds—200 Mbps or more would suffice, but I’ll consider the constraints of my setup. The technology isn’t familiar to me, but it’s the most practical choice while I explore the older parts of the building.
