I understand, though 10g is much more common than 2.5. 2.5 acts more like a rough benchmark.

The issue is about cost, not spending on the wrong parts. I'm looking at TP-Link models for example. Prices are local, not in USD. The AX5400 costs around 239-259 if I find another TP-Link router with wireless capabilities. The cheapest option I saw was about 140 USD. A TP-Link Gigabit injector (30W) plus a Gigabit PoE switch would be 444, which is already quite high. I'll still need a router or PoE AC point in my room. Even at 15.4W, it's still 346 USD.

They're focusing on gigabit technology. These PoE injectors are affordable.
