In my gaming setup I've relied on a powerline adapter for years. Recently I've noticed packet loss during games. My Wi-Fi appears stable enough for gaming, so I'm considering switching to it. However, I really miss the Wake on LAN feature, which lets me remotely access my PC. Is there a way to keep the powerline connection only for LAN use and for Wake on LAN while using Wi-Fi elsewhere? I think MOCA isn't suitable because my DirectTV installation might interfere, and Ethernet isn't an option for me either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Powerline is designed for sending packets for WoL. These packets are compact and need minimal bandwidth. For keeping Powerline active while also using WiFi, check out this guide.
