Power throttling feature in Intel XTU system management
Power throttling feature in Intel XTU system management
Hello! Your setup looks solid with the i7-13700K and RTX 3070. The warning from Intel’s software about power throttling after stress testing is common, especially if your PSU isn’t delivering enough wattage consistently. The PSU calculator suggests it’s operating at around 60% load, which is generally safe for most CPUs. Your temperatures during the test seem normal—CPU 49-65°C, GPU 45°C. If you want to resolve this, consider checking your PSU’s capacity and ensuring it meets the power demands of your components. Let me know if you need help finding a better PSU!
The Intel power limit throttling isn't related to the power supply. Turbo power caps can be adjusted in the BIOS. If they're too restrictive, your CPU will automatically reduce performance during a full load test to stay within those limits. To avoid warning messages in XTU, change the turbo settings in BIOS or use ThrottleStop. Most users set them to the maximum, 4095, which should stop throttling entirely. You can tweak these limits in XTU or via ThrottleStop. I configured PL1 and PL2 to 300, letting my CPU run at full speed during stress tests without any power restrictions. Don't rely solely on Google's advice—they might not understand the situation.
I adjusted all the configurations in ThrottleStop, but XTU and ThrottleStop keep indicating power usage during the stress test. I’ve enabled autostart for ThrottleStop. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Consider resetting the BIOS to its original settings. It might help resolve any power restrictions.
