Hi, the two configurations differ mainly in their phase counts. The first has 16 phases and the second 14, both with two additional phases. Since you're not overclocking heavily, the difference likely won’t be significant. MSI boards tend to use 14+2+2 while most X870 boards use 16+2+2.

It doesn't really matter. Power Phases isn't something I examine, even for my own systems with top-end CPUs. If I were pushing a 14900K, I'd pay more attention, but for the average user running a high-end CPU like the 9950X3D, it shouldn't be an issue. You wouldn't want to use a 9950X on an MSI PRO A620M-E, for instance. My ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI has 12+2+2 and I've successfully overclocked a 9800X3D without any problems.

I successfully ordered my board and was curious about the impact. Without MSI, I've faced numerous Ethanet controller problems on my current ASUS setup, but my old MSI system ran smoothly for days.

For the average user it doesn’t matter much—I haven’t faced any problems with the ASUS boards I’ve tried or the MSI motherboards either. Seems like you’re now assembling nearly everything you need for your setup, which is great!

My 9950X3D has just arrived, but it seems it's no longer available except on Amazon where it's being sold at a much higher price. Good luck with the purchase!
