I managed to hide it from the motherboard long enough for setup, but the red light remains beside my power cable. It came with a splitter for two 8-pin PCIe cables, yet it won’t turn off. I’ve rearranged the cables and double-checked everything, but the issue persists.

The red light indicates the cable isn't fully connected to the GPU. Keep the GPU steady and push firmly. Using the cable while the GPU is connected poses a fire hazard.

Ensure the power cable is fully secured by pressing until the red-painted pins disappear. The yellow retention clip must not be protruding.

Turn off the system when you modify power cables. Warning—some users didn’t realize this and damaged their GPU.
