Power limit on 12w
Power limit on 12w
Hi, I'm facing an issue with my Lenovo Idepad-330-15arr. After a few days of reinstalling the system, the processor started struggling at 1.60 GHz even when lightly playing games or using the browser. Checking the thread on Lenovo revealed the problem was due to the throttling setting at 60°C (actual temperature around 65°C) and a power limit of 12W. How can I release the power limit and disable the throttling? I tried using a Ryzen controller, but the processor still blocks. Even browsing the internet doesn't go beyond 2 GHz. Whenever I open a window, it locks at 1.6 GHz to save energy. My power plan is set to high performance.
Specifications:
AMD Ryzen 5 2500u 3.6 GHz
Radeon 540
2x8GB DDR4 RAM
256 GB SSD SATA
Windows 10
The limit is capped at 12W, but the CPU only uses 3-4W.
The issue is that this processor stays under 5w. It's configured for peak energy efficiency (12w) and operates at 3-4w. The program didn't make any difference. When launching the game window, it freezes at 1.6 GHz and runs at 2.5 GHz. This is my first and only Lenovo product. Any other suggestions?
