Power issue with the motherboard is occurring.
I’m assembling a new PC with an ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F motherboard. When attempting to power on the PSU, nothing appears—no lights or indicators on the board. I’ve tried various fixes and read numerous guides, but the issue remains unresolved. Despite testing multiple solutions, I’m still unable to identify the problem. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Have you removed the 24-pin connector from the motherboard and reinserted it? If the system doesn’t power on, the board is likely permanently damaged. Consider claiming a return warranty from the retailer where you purchased it and see if that assists.
I recently assembled a setup using that Mobo tonight. Did you connect the power pins to the PSU with a metal screwdriver? You should switch on the PSU and then connect the power pins using a metal screwdriver.
What do you believe is the problem? I think it might be the motherboard since you wouldn’t insert a screwdriver into one unless you were installing something internally, rather than using a case.
The instructions only said to activate the PSU, not to short circuit the pins or connect the front IO directly.
