The USB standards state a maximum of 500mA at 5V, which equals about 2.5W, but real-world setups often support higher currents—some systems permit up to 800mA or even 4W. Whether your laptop can handle that depends on its specifications. Additionally, your pump might need 12V rather than 5V, so even if the laptop allows USB power, it wouldn't be sufficient for your device.
