Power configuration places the system at 0.39ghz during team calls.
Hi, I'm facing a problem where the processor fails to adapt its clock speeds based on the workload. Under normal idle conditions it runs at about 1.2-1.4 GHz, but drops to just 0.39 GHz when any task is applied. Even capturing the issue on screenshots is difficult due to the severe impact. The situation worsens when trying to make calls, as Teams requires putting the laptop in 'Best Performance Mode' which increases power usage and noise. I'm using a Lenovo T14 with a 10th Gen i7 processor. So far, I've checked online but haven't found a solution. Any suggestions?
You're not using the system long enough, that's why it's slowing down. No matter what issue you have, it's mainly about clock speed. Also, the gap between the two power settings is negligible compared to how much the screen consumes power or... well, warming up the room.
