Hey everyone. I bought two Vengeance Pro RGB sticks at 3200MHz a long time ago. Can I connect two at 3600MHz without any problems? I have a total of 32 GB of RAM, but it’s tough to find modules at 3600MHz right now. I’m sure it will work at 3200, but I just want to be sure there won’t be any issues like BSOD or failure to boot. The board I’m using is Crosshair VIII Hero.

Combining rams can be effective, but it may not always work. We can't ensure it won't lead to problems. If you already have them, try testing it yourself.

no one would combine different RAM types, that's the issue. either keep it to two or purchase four sticks at once, or opt for 2x16gb. you can mix them, but it will never be perfect—it will always be limited by the slower pair, and instability risk increases.

Use the slower frequency and timing settings for both kits. If your DDR4-3200 model has timings like 14-14-14-34 at 1.35V, and your DDR4-3600 has 16-18-18-40 at 1.35V, it's best to stick with DDR4-3200 at those slower speeds. The 3600 kit may not function properly with the lower CL14 settings, and the 3200 might not reach 3600 MHz.
