I'm uncertain but I believe there might be a memory issue. I also struggle to push RAM usage beyond 25GB. Recently, I've observed some unusual patterns with RAM consumption. On my desktop, I have system monitors showing gadgets alongside temperature and performance metrics. The data is readily available. I've noticed strange numbers lately regarding RAM. I ran a test yesterday by booting Windows and sitting idle. At first, RAM usage was around 4.5GB. After three hours of normal use—games, videos—I sat still again. Nothing loaded. By then, usage jumped to 8.6GB, nearly double the starting amount. This suggests a possible memory leak or excessive clutter from Windows. I tried forcing RAM usage up to 25GB using large file decompression, but it didn't succeed. Once decompression finished and I was idle, usage dropped to 2.9GB. So RAM reached 25GB then Windows began clearing space. It appears Windows is only utilizing 25GB instead of the full 32GB. Am I missing something here? Is this behavior expected?

WIndows cached stuff on RAM to make it go faster. If you were to open other things that required that ram, then it would flush the cached stuff. Otherwise, there's no harm to keep things in there. That's not a good test. That's weird, but I'm not sure how FF on Windows deals with memory. Keep in mind that windows will try to page some stuff that's not being used out of ram and into the disk in order to not make stuff hang due to lack of ram, so maybe that's what happened there. If you want, you can use testlimit to actually fill up your ram: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte.../testlimit Open cmd, and run a: testlimit64.exe -d 28672 -c 1 In order to allocate ~28gb of ram.
