I previously owned a Ryzen 3 1300x with an MSI B350m Gaming Pro board. Recently, I managed to save up and upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600, an Asrock B450m-HDV R4.0, and an RTX 2060. Realizing an update might be necessary when new parts arrive, I prepared a flash drive with the necessary files beforehand. Before updating, I checked if everything was functioning properly by turning on the PC, entering BIOS, and confirming my specs—CPU, RAM, SSD. After exiting BIOS and launching Windows, I encountered a blue screen that repeatedly rebooted. The error messages varied, including SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and IQRL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I consulted Microsoft support but received little guidance. I eventually updated my BIOS, yet the issues persisted. I tried booting into Windows from a flash drive on a new HDD, but the same problems continued. Occasionally, after a reboot, the system would jump straight back to BIOS and fail to recognize my RAM. Even after restarting the PC, the behavior remained unchanged. I’m unsure whether the problem lies with the motherboard or another component. I’m considering purchasing a new motherboard just to confirm.

You received a less reliable motherboard, but the B450 gaming plus is actually better. Was there an issue with the previous one?

I'm not sure if it was damaged; I just received it by accident.

I assumed you were checking if the new motherboard was faulty, wondered about updating the BIOS on the older one for compatibility, and questioned the switch from B450 Gaming Plus to B450M-HDV.

Be honest, this board is still superior to the HDV. In reality, there isn't a more affordable B450 model than this one.
