Hey, I need some guidance before things get tough. For more than a year now I've struggled to reach the BIOS/UEFI—only a Windows lock screen shows unless I enable another GPU. My main card is an ASUS 3080 with 12GB RAM, and the software I think I need is an older NVIDIA NVS 315. I've updated the motherboard, reset everything to defaults, cleared CMOS with and without battery, tried DDU in safe mode without network, wiped and reinstalled chipset drivers, but still can't access UEFI unless I use the old workstation card. This issue isn't just with the 3080; it's been happening since I had a 1080 or 1080Ti in it—those cards worked fine, just needed installing NVS 315 or a similar GPU once. Then I'd see a POST message about legacy mode being enabled, and after removing the card, my main card would display properly. It seems like this isn't working anymore. I've tried ASUS X570 Prime P with the latest BIOS, Ryzen 3800X, Seasonic Prime Gold 750, 32GB Vengeance 3600 CL18, and Windows 10 64-bit. Updated everything recently. It seems your setup has CSM or legacy boot turned on, and you're using an MBR disk instead of a GPT partition. Your graphics cards aren't recognized properly in the BIOS until the OS loads fully, making them inactive. The solution is straightforward: use a CMD script to convert your disk to GPT and turn off CSM in the BIOS settings. This will enable UEFI booting and let you observe system behavior during startup.

Thanks for the update. The BIOS is set to disable CSM, and all drives/partitions are GPT-based. It's quite frustrating. Even worse, I recently added RAM and didn't activate XMP before reinstalling the main card, which caused some extra hassle.

Do you connect via HDMI or DP? If DP, the problem might relate to this firmware update tool: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/...-displayid

LG 4K TV with HDMI output. Uncertain about DP input; plan to test with that method. Note: Only HDMI available.

Being on TV often brings up thoughts about it possibly being the cause (at least partially). It could be that the UEFI is sending a resolution the TV doesn't prefer, or the HDMI connection and EDID data might not be compatible. Have you tried another monitor temporarily to check if a change helps? Don't rule out switching to a different cable just to test another port.
