I recently assembled a new PC using these components: an Intel Core i5-12600K Gainward 4070, Gigabyte Z790 UD 2x8 RAM, DDR5 650W with Aerocool cooling, and other accessories. Everything functions mostly well, though I’ve noticed occasional issues with the motherboard’s USB ports—audio sounds robotic, keyboard input feels delayed, mouse responsiveness is inconsistent, but sometimes it works perfectly. I’d appreciate any guidance or additional details you can share. Thank you!

Visit the manufacturer’s site to download all chipset drivers. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z79...er-chipset Assume Windows 11 is already installed.

You're using Windows 11 and have most drivers installed, but encountering an issue after installing a specific driver—likely the Intel Serial I/O Driver. This could be due to compatibility problems or conflicts. Consider checking the driver's settings, updating it, or trying a different version if available.

Checking installation with compatibility options reveals this issue, the troubleshooter doesn't help.

Hey, most boards no longer have serial ports these days—don’t stress about it. Your board likely has a built-in serial port, which you probably won’t use unless you’re specifically working with it. It’s mostly USB now.
