Ports on the GPU not detected with the new monitor.
Hey there, I just finished assembling my new PC and noticed something odd—my display port was connected to the HDMI slot instead of the motherboard. After a few days of testing, I upgraded to a monitor, but now I’m experiencing very unstable frame rates when it connects through the motherboard. When I try to send images from the GPU, nothing works. I’ve checked everything: drivers are updated from the manufacturer site, the GPU is properly seated with all power connectors in place, I’ve rebooted multiple times, tried different monitors and ports, even used an anti-sag bracket and ensured the CPU has good cooling. The system still runs under 39°C. I’m pretty sure something’s missing or not working as expected. My only option right now is to request a refund for the GPU since I haven’t used it for two weeks. Any tips would be appreciated!
I have a motherboard, CPU, and GPU. If the monitors display correctly after connecting them to the board, the CPU likely has an integrated graphics unit. This should help eliminate issues with cables or monitors. If the monitors don't work with the GPU, using the same working monitors and cables suggests a faulty GPU. The GPU is already detected in the operating system; drivers are available and all necessary power cables are connected.
Ensure BIOS settings are set to Auto mode so the device can choose the specific GPU.
