Hello, I'm attempting to redirect certain ports on my DD-WRT router but it isn't functioning properly. If the problem seems related to DD-WRT itself, I'll check their forums. For now, I'm assuming a broader network or internet issue. I need to forward ports 8677 and 27016 to my game server at 192.168.2.112 on my home network, as configured in the attached image. I visited yougetsignal.com on my desktop to verify port forwarding, but it showed it wasn't working, similar to the second image. Could you suggest possible reasons for this? Here are some details: I believe I correctly set the source port, and from multiple sources it appears leaving it blank or setting it to 0.0.0.0 or 0.0.0.0/0 would resolve the issue. I tried those options. After changing settings, I restarted the router. My ISP's router is in bridge mode, providing a WAN IP to the DD-WRT device, so double NAT isn't likely the cause. I also confirmed the game server is reachable on my local LAN at 192.168.2.112:27016. Thanks for your assistance!

Verify your ISP isn't employing CGNAT. A quick test is to check the WAN IP on your router (top right in the config web interface) and search online for "what is my IP." If it differs, CGNAT is active, preventing port forwarding.

Thank you for your feedback. The identical IP addresses you're seeing suggest a potential issue beyond just port forwarding. It's possible your ISP is blocking certain ports, or there might be another configuration problem. You could reach out to their customer support for further clarification. Let me know if you'd like help drafting a message!

I recently managed to connect the game server from a different public IP address (powered by my phone’s data). Still, yougetsignal.com indicated the port wasn’t reachable on my home network’s public IP. It seems it should be accessible since I reached it via the internet. If there’s any reason behind this, that would be helpful. My main concern is *technically* resolved because I need those port test tools to provide real data. I’m still pleased though—my aim was achieved: a publicly accessible game server. Who knows if future ports I forward will function reliably?

Did you enable the port in the Windows firewall configuration? Follow these steps: Open Control Panel, then System and Security, after that Windows Firewall. Navigate to Advanced settings on the left side. Choose inbound rules, create a new rule. In the wizard, pick TCP or UDP, enter port 8766, allow connection, name it, and click finish. Repeat for port 27016.
