Port lights activate at startup but shut down and disconnect when the lock screen appears.
My internet connection has been this way for a while now—it won’t work and I’m forced to use Wi-Fi. When I power on my PC, the yellow light flashes and the orange one stays on, but by the time I reach my lockscreen there are no lights left. My PC displays an error saying the Ethernet cable is unplugged, so I have to switch to Wi-Fi. I’m sure it’s not the cable because I tested it with another device, which works perfectly. The port looks fine and stays lit consistently. I’ve inspected the pins and everything seems okay. I don’t know why this started happening suddenly, but any advice would be really helpful.
