Hey there, I faced an issue with my laptop using an eGPU on a GTX770 with 4GB RAM. It shut down completely when connected via the M.2 adapter. After switching to another PC, the fans spun nonstop, which caused it to fail. The 8800GTS helped temporarily, but now the Ethernet/LAN port isn’t working after swapping the GPU. My first PC shows no activity in the adapter settings, while the LAN cable seems fine. I can’t find any drivers in Device Manager—seems they’re hidden or corrupted. Last time I updated drivers, it bricked my system. I’ve saved everything so far, but nothing’s working properly. If I get an Ethernet card, will that solve the problem? My setup includes a Gigabyte B550 motherboard with 16GB RAM and plenty of storage, running Windows 11.

This seems to indicate a hardware issue. A PCIe or USB NIC should allow reconnection.
