I built my own PC a while ago for everyday use and gaming. Recently, I accidentally pulled out a USB cable the wrong way and the port stopped working. When I tried to start the computer, neither the screen displayed nor the keyboard or mouse connected through USB. I thought it might be the RAM issue, but instead of buying new parts, I wanted to verify my setup. I changed the RAM slots already, but nothing helped. My current build includes: Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 16 GB GPU, Radeon RX 590, Asus PRIME Z390-A motherboard, Intel Core i5 9600k processor.
It seems likely the RAM is the issue. I've confirmed no bent CPU pins, and the motherboard displayed a specific color signal pointing to a D RAM problem.
Likely the issue arose from damaging the USB port. Standard RAM won't resolve this—contact support for repair (RMA) or obtain a replacement board.
