Here are some issues concerning Btrfs and its RAID code for types 5/6. This seems to be the approach Linus and his team likely use on their unRAID servers. It raises concerns about potential causes of past data loss, possibly pointing to a lack of robustness in the file system compared to alternatives like ext4. I assume unRAID doesn't rely on RAID5/6, which might explain why LMG remains unaffected.

They don't rely on that method. It involves checking file parity in Unraid. They tried a server using RAID 5 once.

It shouldn't be a major issue since there are backups available, ideally stored on tape.
