You're facing a tough situation with your current setup. The Ryzen 3600 could definitely improve performance, but it depends on compatibility and system requirements. Since you're not in the US and can't upgrade BIOS or use a loaner PC, you'll need a board that supports the latest BIOS out of the box. Check if your existing motherboard meets those standards. Also, ensure your SSD is NVMe for faster speeds. If you want better connectivity, consider adding more USB ports or a dedicated network card. Let me know what you find!
MSI's premium B450 boards or the newest ones often include the latest BIOS or allow USB BIOS flashing without needing a CPU. You might want to adjust your in-game FPS if you're consistently above 60 FPS on an i5. Have you already performed a clean Windows installation?
6c/12t performs better than 4c/4t in PUBG when Discord is active. Most MSI B450 systems include a flashback feature, eliminating the need for outdated CPUs.
You own a great Z170 motherboard. After minor BIOS tweaks and a CPU pinmod, it can support a CoffeeLake processor. I’ll share a thorough tutorial soon—check the link for more details. Edited October 29, 2019 by 1van
I've already adjusted the frame rate and upscaled the render image, but the issue remains consistent. CPU usage stays high at 100% with no space for other background tasks. I'm planning a clean Windows install, as I only use it for about a month and haven't connected the VR headset yet. The Oculus process still appears in the background.
