Eh, I think this might not be fully right. Surely keeping the latest driver versions shown on the motherboard page matters, but claiming "if everything functions then the BIOS isn't the problem" doesn't make much sense.
Many systems seem to work but still face issues that only get fixed with an updated BIOS version targeting those specific problems.
Any issue on a system that otherwise runs fine could stem from BIOS limitations—such as not supporting certain features, reducing performance, or missing the exact code needed for the drivers required by that hardware. This is because the BIOS was developed before the hardware existed and must have specific details to properly integrate it into CMOS instructions or microcode.
You can check your BIOS version by running msinfo32.exe in the Run dialog or using the search bar on the Start menu, then reviewing the "BIOS version/date" under System summary. Compare this with the information provided on the motherboard product page regarding available BIOS releases.
