You're experiencing inconsistent black levels on your monitor, especially with HDR enabled. It seems the problem might stem from how your system handles display settings and HDR. You've already tried several fixes like cable changes, HDMI use, disabling HDR, and updating drivers. Since you're open to suggestions, consider checking if your graphics drivers are optimized for HDR or if there are any known issues with the Dell S3220DGF monitor under these conditions. Also, ensure your Windows settings align with the display profile you're using. If the issue persists across different browsers, it could point to a broader driver or system configuration problem.

Thanks for the feedback! I experimented with adjusting each setting separately but didn’t perform a full factory reset. Doing it step by step helped me identify that FreeSync was the source of the problem. Finding a solution that balances FreeSync with high-quality display output seems challenging right now.

Have you checked disabling freesync in your monitor settings while turning it on in games? Are you noticing any screen tearing? Since you have an Nvidia card, G-sync is recommended regardless of differences.

I'm not very familiar with freesync or g-sync. I thought most monitors had this feature, but g-sync was less common. I believed it needed to be turned on in both the monitor settings and the games for it to work. If it can be activated directly from in-game options, that would likely solve my problems. I'll try that next time I launch a game.
