I don't have the MSI afterburner but it's not working well. The FPS needs to be under 20. As I mentioned earlier, I managed to play that game at 1600x900 on older systems, and now I'm getting over 30 FPS on 1440x900.

Great news about the performance. 30+ frames per second should be achievable at 900p in a 15-year-old game using an Intel HD 4400 graphics card... It works, though I'd rather see it in 4K.

Have you considered searching for a used GPU priced between $15 and $45, with roughly 1 to 2 GB of VRAM? Models like the HD 7850/7870 or GTX 570/580/660Ti/750Ti could be perfect for your setup.
