I've been attempting to push my CPU's performance beyond its limits for the last hour, but the outcomes have been underwhelming. Initially, I tried increasing the voltage without success—raising it from 1.3125v to 1.3250v only allowed me to hit 4.1GHz (x20.5). So far, the stability is questionable since I haven't completed a full stress test yet.

I'm eager to push further because 4.1GHz isn't impressive when compared to other overclocked models, even with stock coolers and voltages, though my current temperatures reach 71°C at that speed. It seems like pushing beyond this safe range isn't feasible.

I've been following a guide that suggests setting LLC to Auto (as noted for the M5A97) and leaving most DIGI+ settings unchanged since those options weren't available. My main concerns are:

- Is it typical to increase voltage right after boosting clock speed?
- What adjustments can help improve my overclock results?

This guide might be useful.
Raising the voltage is typical for this chip, since it consumes a lot of power. Increasing it a bit should allow you to achieve a higher overclock. You shouldn’t face any issues reaching 4.2 stable as long as you have enough voltage. A higher voltage will make a big difference.
